EPA Head, Lisa Jackson Resigns

The Environmental Protection , a brief review under the Obama Administration 's first term , as led by Lisa P. Jackson, a New Orleans,Louisianan with a background in chemical engineering. Administrator Jackson is the first African American to head the EPA. Nominated in 2008, sworn in on Jan. 26, 2009, radiated from Tulane University, received her Masters from Princeton, and was iriginally hired with the EPA in the 80's in New Jersey.

"The Disaster Distress Helpline 1-800-985-5990 provides immediate crisis counseling and help to people affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. The Helpline can also be accessed at http://disaster distress.samhsa.gov/ . Call SAMHSA 24 / 7 to confidentially talk with "trained and caring professional from the closest crisis counseling center in the nationwide network of centers. The Helpline will provide confidential counseling, referrals and other needed support services."

"We gather here in memory of 20 beautiful children and six remarkable adults," he said. "... I come to offer the love and prayers of a nation."
He assured the people of Newtown that the entire nation felt the loss.
"Our world too has been torn apart. All across this land of ours we have wept with you. We have pulled our children tight. ... Newtown, you are not alone."
